Report an error

Calendars change and we can make mistakes. If something on The Visible Hand does not match a university’s official calendar, we want to fix it.

How to report

Email thevisiblehand.ca@gmail.com (email us) with:

• the university and program (or the page address);
• what is wrong; and
• a link to the official calendar page that shows the correct information, if you have one.

Every “Report an error” link on the site opens an email with the school and program already filled in.

How we handle corrections

1. We check the report against the university’s current official calendar, which is always the authority.
2. If the site is wrong, we correct the data, re-check the rest of that program, and update the “last verified” date on the school page.
3. If the calendar itself is unclear or contradicts itself, we mark the item as “Unconfirmed” on the page rather than guess.

We aim to review reports within 10 business days. Every school is also re-checked each year when new calendars are published, and pages warn readers if a school has not been verified in more than 12 months.

Requests from universities and rights holders

If you represent a university and believe something on the site misrepresents your programs or uses material you own, contact us at the same address. We will review it promptly and correct, clarify or remove content as appropriate.
